agape steps down

compassion is forgoing the lofty perception that only our self-righteous scale can determine a pain's worthiness. it is realizing that what someone else deems significant in their life is therefore very much so. compassion is anything but looking down on someone else's suffering. agape does not look down to love. agape steps down to love. we don't love people because we are moved by sympathy to sacrifice our time to help "lower beings" who have experienced lesser things; we love people because they are equals and because pain is pain.

The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7

"You're altogether lovely
All together worthy,
All together wonderful to me"
Here I am to Worship, Christ Tomlin
thank You for your radical, all-consuming, transforming love
